Lawson Huggins, MD – Supervising Physician and Medical Director

Lawson Huggins, MD

Dr. Huggins is a Supervising Physician and Medical Director for Urgent Care of Mountain View. He is residency trained and board certified in emergency medicine and has over 25 years of experience in the emergency room setting. Dr. Huggins was born and raised in Hickory, North Carolina, and is married to his wife Theresa and has three children.

Liane Schubring, RN, BSN, MBA/MHA – Chief Operating Officer

Urgent Care of Mountain View’s Chief Operating Officer is Liane Schubring. Schubring is a 31-year healthcare nursing professional. She comes to UCMV from Catawba Valley Medical Center where she served as the director of the Catawba Valley Center for Wound Healing and Hyperbarics. She has a long history of working with many community health care organizations such as home health care, home infusion and durable medical equipment, as well as hospice. She earned degrees from Vermont College of Norwich University and Pfeiffer University. She and her husband Mark live in Vale. She enjoys spending time with her children and watching Carolina Panthers Football.

Curtis Schultz, MD – Supervising Physician

Curtis Schultz, MDDr. Schultz serves as a Supervising Physician for Urgent Care of Mountain View and the Medical Director of BelleVi MedSpa. He received his doctorate from the University of Miami Medical School in 1983 and completed his residency at the United States Air Force Regional Hospital in Fort Worth, Texas. While serving in the military, he was Assistant Professor of Clinical Medicine at the Armed Forces Medical School and Chief of Clinical Services at Charleston Air Force Base. Dr. Schultz has over 35 years of experience in healthcare. He served as an Air Force family physician for 16 years and worked with Catawba Valley Family Medicine for over 15 years. In addition to family medicine, he also has experience in comprehensive wound care, occupational medicine and urgent care. Interestingly, he had the unique opportunity to spend a year providing urgent care in New Zealand. Dr. Schultz is a member of the American Academy of Family Physicians and the Wilderness Medical Society and a past member of the American College of Sports Medicine and the American College of Occupational and Environmental Medicine. He is board certified by the American Board of Family Medicine, a certified DOT examiner, and certified in Advanced Cardiac Life Support, and Wound and Hyperbaric Medicine. Outside of work, Dr. Schultz enjoys playing tennis and golf, reading, traveling and watching all sports.
